Local screw drive opener repair for Exeter, CA
Outages are common in California during heat waves and planned power shutoffs, which is why a battery backup on the opener matters here.
California law (SB 969) requires garage door openers sold or installed in the state since July 1, 2019 to have a battery backup, so the door still works during a power outage.

Screw Drive Opener Repair: frequently asked questions
How much does screw drive opener repair cost in Exeter, CA?
Screw Drive Opener Repair typically costs $125-$350 including parts and labor, and usually takes about 1 hour. The exact price depends on your door and the parts it needs, and you get it before any work starts. Call (833) 435-8883 for a quote.
Can you do screw drive opener repair the same day?
Often, yes. When a technician is available we can usually come the same day, and common parts are carried on the truck. Doors that won't close or have a broken spring are treated as priority calls, and emergency service is available.
Is screw drive opener repair covered by a warranty?
Our work comes with a 90-day labor warranty on repairs. New parts and doors also carry the manufacturer's warranty. Ask for the warranty details in writing with your quote.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Our technicians are insured, and where California or Exeter requires a contractor license for garage door work, the job is done under that license. You're welcome to ask for proof when you book.
Should I repair or replace my opener?
A good rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than about 50% of a replacement, or the opener is near the end of its life, replace it. Most openers last 10 to 15 years. If yours is older than that, lacks photo eyes or rolling-code security, or needs a logic board or motor, a new opener is often better value. Springs are the exception: a broken spring is always replaced, never repaired. Our free repair vs. replace calculator can help you compare.
